LAUSD Classroom Safety Poster

LAUSD Classroom Safety Poster

Project: Poster

Brief: Create a piece identifying common avoidable classroom hazards. Current hazards were given to teachers as a two-page list.

Solution: Los Angeles Unified School District, the second largest school district in the country, needs to make sure that they minimize risk at every opportunity. Working with MasterMinds Communications, we wanted an easier way for teachers and students to become aware of classroom hazards, knowing that teachers are inundated with papers, we created a larger poster that they could hang in the classroom. Both students and teachers can see the common hazards by the visual highlights found on the poster. Combining the illustration with a list of written hazards explained the potential danger and how to how to avoid it.

The oversized posters were printed and delivered to LAUSD and hung in classrooms and common areas within schools.
