Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), the 2nd largest school district in the U.S., is located in an area known for wildfires, earthquakes and rolling blackouts. To prepare administrators, instructors and students for an inevitable emergency, The Vivere Design Team worked with the Emergency Services Director to develop an interactive, fun and education-filled drill kit. The final kit included instructions, 40 symptom cards that attached to drill “victims”, victim checklist, evaluation and assessment form, drill key and Power Point presentation. Kits were distributed throughout the district and are used for drills throughout the year.
